The main impact is that Microsoft will no longer be providing updates or support for the operating system. As well as this, users may be vulnerable to security risks and compatibility issues with new software and hardware. But, don\u2019t worry! Today we\u2019ll go over a couple of options for upgrading from Windows 8.1 during the end-of-life period. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unsure what to do if you\u2019re still using Windows 8.1? Upgrading to Windows 10, or purchasing a new device are the two easiest options. If you decide to purchase a new device it might be worthwhile considering other operating systems. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each option has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the best choice depends on your needs and budget. Overall, It\u2019s definitely important to take steps to upgrade to ensure you and your device are protected.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
