Capture the entire screen on Mac<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re after a complete snapshot of your entire workspace or content, you\u2019ll want to capture your Mac\u2019s entire screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do this, you\u2019ll simply need to press and hold down the \u2018Command\u2019, \u2018Shift\u2019 and \u20183\u2019 key.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your screenshot should then appear and be easily accessible on your desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capturing part of your screen on Mac<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019d rather take a screenshot that focuses on relevant information and eliminates the less relevant, you\u2019ll want to use Mac\u2019s keyboard shortcut that allows you to only capture part of your screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do this, press and hold down the \u2018Shift\u2019, \u2018Command\u2019 and \u20184\u2019 keys<\/strong>. This action will then change your cursor into a crosshair. After that, simply click and drag the crosshair to select the area of your screen you\u2019d like to capture<\/strong>. To take the screen shot, simply release your mouse or trackpad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To take a full screenshot on Windows 10 or 11, press and hold down the \u2018Windows\u2019 and \u2018Print Screen\u2019 key<\/strong>. This Windows keyboard shortcut is perfect for preserving the context and layout of your entire screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the entirety of your screen is captured, your screenshot will be saved in your Screenshots folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To locate your Screenshots folder, open File Explorer (press and hold down the \u2018Windows\u2019 and \u2018E\u2019 key) then click Pictures in the left side panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
