When Geeks on Wheels first launched, floppy disks were still a thing, Amazon\u2019s most-sold tech item was the iPod Nano and Google&#8217;s most-searched tech item was the Xbox 360.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>Thank you to our amazing customers and team members who have shaped our journey and what it is we do so special and rewarding. A lot of things have changed since our mobile technicians first started visiting Kiwi homes and offices. But, one thing has remained unwavering, our commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience. All whilst providing solutions, knowledge and confidence to everyday users of technology. Helping small businesses set up their IT systems, families connect to the internet for the first time and scam victims ensure their devices are safe to use once again.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Over 8,000 5-star reviews<\/strong><br>We are so proud of the work our technicians put into helping our customers, going above and beyond simple tech repairs. By explaining as they go and skipping the tech jargon, our technicians are able to take customers to a better place with their technology.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>13 locations and counting<\/strong><br>Ever since day one we have been wanting to offer tech support to more people in more places. Our helpline service lets us reach those hard-to-reach areas, but nothing quite compares to onsite support from an expert Geek. Coming into our 20<sup>th<\/sup> year we now service 13 locations across New Zealand, after beginning with just one service area in 2005. Our technicians are now spread across the country and we\u2019re excited to see where Geeks on Wheels will be launching next.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>More than 290,000 onsite visits<br><\/strong>Even we were amazed when we searched for that number. Thank you New Zealand for letting us into your homes, offices, coffee carts, boats, cow sheds and workshops 290,000 times. We know each visit has greeted us with a unique tech issue to solve. We are proud to say that 20 years later Barbara is still a loyal customer to this day.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Expanding our service areas<\/strong><br>After laying down our foundations in Wellington and growing our team, it was time to give New Zealanders in other locations the tech support they deserve. This started with us opening two new locations in 2007. Namely, Auckland and Christchurch.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>20,000<sup>th<\/sup> customer<\/strong><br>By early 2010 and after an exciting almost 5 years in business we had helped 20,000 customers. A milestone for any small business.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Launch of the Geek Helpline<\/strong><br>Our remote support service has been a game changer for businesses and individuals across the country. Each day our helpline technicians help with scores of tech issues big and small. Saving customers time and money and ensuring they can get back to using their devices as quickly as possible.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Geek+ membership<\/strong><br>Following on from the success of the Geek Helpline and realising the need for ongoing tech support for business and domestic users in New Zealand Geek+ was born. Our unique wrap-around tech support membership. Offering unlimited remote support, device health and security checks and discounted onsite visits, it is peace and mind neatly packaged in a bundle. There are far too many amazing milestones to list, including the launch of <strong>GeekSafe\u2122<\/strong> our scam protection service, continued growth into various regions including our recent arrival in <strong>Nelson <\/strong>and numerous additional service offerings including <strong>Security Camera installation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>The last 20 years have been amazing and our wonderful customers have been there to support us every step of the way.
