After five years in full-time work, Ryan Dodson decided it was time for a change. He went back to uni, earning a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer and Mathematical Science from the University of Waikato, where he also tutored Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. That mix of real-world experience and academic knowledge now fuels his work at Geeks on Wheels.<\/p>\n
Ryan has a knack for breaking down the nitty-gritty details of code or tech, but he\u2019s just as comfortable keeping things simple and practical for customers. He enjoys blending his retail experience with his technical expertise, creating solutions that are approachable and easy to understand.<\/p>\n
Outside of tech, Ryan is restoring a classic MGB convertible (a labour of love and a bit of a money pit), tending to his garden, and designing 3D models to print. He\u2019s also a keen traveller. His 2023 trip to Japan was a highlight, exploring Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima before circling back to Tokyo. And if that wasn\u2019t enough, he can play the saxophone and has his sights set on learning piano next.<\/p>\n
